Welcome
I'm Anderson Jean,

Meet Anderson
Baltimore is more than the place I live — it’s the heartbeat of my purpose. In its streets, I see the same determination and hope that have defined my own journey. Baltimore’s story is one of resilience: families striving for better schools, small businesses pushing forward despite challenges, and neighbors lifting one another up when times get hard. Every day, I’m reminded that this city’s greatest strength lies in its people — in their grit, compassion, and unshakable belief that better days are possible.
I bring to this work the lessons of my own path. Raised in Connecticut and Florida, and shaped by my Haitian heritage, I learned early the value of faith, education, and service. My move to Maryland in 2021 was driven by a desire to give back — to serve a cause greater than myself in a city whose legacy of courage runs deep.
Baltimore has long been a place of refuge and renewal — even during the Haitian Revolution, when many sought safety and new beginnings here. That connection is part of my story, too. After earning my B.A. in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts and a master’s degree from St. John’s University in New York, I devoted my career to teaching, public service, and advocating for justice at both the state and federal levels.
My father’s example — in academia, politics, and community service — taught me that leadership is about lifting others. That’s the spirit I see in West Baltimore every day: a community with rich history, deep roots, and endless potential. I’m committed to building ladders of opportunity and helping create a New Way Forward — one grounded in hope, service, and the belief that Baltimore’s best days are still ahead.

A Voice for Baltimore, A Champion for Maryland
I’ve seen our strength, our resilience, and our ability to rise — even when the odds are against us.
I’ve watched neighbors come together,
teachers go above and beyond, and small businesses hold our communities together. That spirit of
hope and hard work deserves a voice in Annapolis.
Our children deserve schools where they feel safe, supported, and inspired to dream. Our teachers
deserve the resources and respect they need to succeed. Our families deserve neighborhoods that
are safe, affordable, and full of opportunity. And our city deserves policies that reflect the values
and potential of the people who call it home.
West Baltimore deserves more than survival — we deserve renewal. We need
leadership that listens, that serves, and that stands up for what’s right — leadership that begins
right here in our communities, not behind closed doors.
This campaign isn’t about politics — it’s about people and purpose. It’s about giving power back to
parents, educators, and everyday citizens. It’s about building a Baltimore that works for all of us.
Together, we can create a safer and stronger Baltimore — and a New Way Forward for Maryland.
